Desi Galaxy / Bombayspice
About This Spot
Stepping into Desi Galaxy feels like entering a small, vibrant corner of India nestled within the bustle of Iselin. It’s less about polished elegance and more about the genuine hum of community—a lively patchwork of aromas, colors, and quick, cheerful exchanges from several food stalls clustered together like an inviting market space. The pace here is casual yet energetic, where the clinking of plates meets the spirited chatter of locals and visitors alike, all drawn by the promise of familiar flavors and shared moments.
The atmosphere carries a certain warmth that’s both comforting and invigorating, making it easy to linger and explore a range of tastes across Indian culinary regions. Whether it’s the spicy sparkle of freshly made pani puri that bursts with tang or the calming comfort of a warmly spiced chai, there’s a multi-sensory rhythm to dining here that feels rooted in everyday life rather than formality.
What truly distinguishes this place is its communal nature—a shared space where every guest can craft their own meal adventure, moving from one vibrant stall to another. It’s a mosaic of choices that suits all appetites and preferences, from crisp, street-food favorites to heartier signature plates, accompanied by fresh juices or soothing teas. Sitting down with a plate brimming with assorted snacks or a comforting thali, one can easily imagine the subtle pleasure of a spontaneous gathering, a quick bite that stretches into connection.
Though tucked into a busy strip mall, the gathering spot resonates with authenticity, offering a reminder of the lively food courts found in Indian cities—where variety is celebrated and meals are infused with both tradition and casual joy. It’s a place where the small hustle outside fades into the background and the focus settles on authentic tastes shared in friendly proximity.

Delivery Order: Being able to order both Veg and Non-Veg Indian dishes that taste authentic is the best aspect about this place. Quantity and Quality was very good, and I absolutely loved all the items that I had ordered. Go to place for Indian

This is a unique place in New Jersey where you find India in New Jersey. All the food and stores and restaurants are grouped around and you can have food from different stores and sit at one place. They have decent taste and good variety of food. It will be quick enough. Seating are max 20. You will feel like Indian.

This Desi Galaxy is located inside a small strip mall and busy section of the shopping area, so parking will be challenging, but you will get it. Good luck on busy weekends. They carry lot of options for both vegetarians and non-veggies. We tried ice creams, fresh juice and always impressed and never a dull moment. Masala ginger chai was perfect flavor, we also ordered freshly made humongous samosas, they tasted and went well with the chai. This will bring memories of street food from India. You may not expect a smile or greet and comes with street food experience. Prices are reasonable ad definitely worth visiting. Very few tables to sit and eat but the arrangement of tables is congested. I will definitely visit this location again!!

If you like authentic Indian street food, this is the place for you! This small area fits something like seven vendors, yet there are plenty of tables to sit at. My chicken roti was just what I'd hoped for. Will be back!
